No wimps allowed here. From KDAY's heyday 1985-1988. Home for DJ Aladdin,
Dr. Dre, Joe Cooley, Tony G., M-Walk, Julio and others. Note this was a mono
AM station! Sonically, they're not up to our usual standards, BUT the mixes more
than make up for it. As usual, every effort has been made to achieve optimum
sound quality, but priority is given to historical content, importance and rarity.
And this just might be your only chance to get these slammin' street dj's when
they were young & 'hongry'. Go into this knowing 'dat' and you'll still come away
awed. The mixing/cuts/blends are breathtaking and raw!

mixG.01) DJ: Dr. Dre! (L.A. Hip-Hop Electro Megamix, 1985-87)
(2cd only, no cassette)
By combining the longlost mid-80's Dr. Dre bootmixes "Best of West Coast

credits "Mixed by: Dr. Dre" back when he was only known locally!), here's
a 100 minute roundup of the entire scene, mixed and created back THEN as it
happened, by a young and "just comin' up" Dr. Dre, during his Wreckin' Kru
period! And scroll down to G.08 for MORE mid-80's vintage-period Dre mixes!

More of Dr. Dre and his relentless quickmixing, so you already know there are a LOT more jams mixed than what i've listed, swirling in and out more quickly than the average ear can process them, but here are the highlights, so you'll know what a wild ride you're in for. By the way, i do all the tracklistings for these mixes and i "date" the mix based on the latest/then-newest record in the mix.
